What is the Difference Between Hemp Oil and CBD Hemp Oil?

Often, people think that hemp oil and CBD hemp oil have the same things and provide the same effects. Yes, both come from the same plant, but from the different parts of the plant making the oils different.

⦁ Although CBD oil and hemp oil are both low in THC, the difference in the amount of CBD these products contain is huge. Hemp oil has only traces of CBD (around 3.5%) while CBD oil can have up to 20%.
⦁ CBD hemp oil has a significant content of cannabidiol. It is made from the flowers, leaves and stalks of industrial hemp.
⦁ Hemp oil is made by pressing hemp seeds. Cold-pressed, unrefined hempseed oil is dark to clear light green in color, with a nutty flavour. There is no THC within the hemp seeds. The modern production of hempseed oil, particularly in Canada, has successfully lowered THC values since 1998. Regular accredited sampling of THC in Canadian hemp seed oil shows THC levels usually below the detection limit of 4ppm (parts per million, or 4 mg/kg). The legal limit for THC content in foodstuffs in Canada is 10ppm. Some European countries have limits of 5ppm or none-detected, some EU countries do not have such limits at all.

Refined hempseed oil is clear and colourless, with little flavor and lacks natural vitamins and antioxidants. Refined hempseed oil is primarily used in body care products. Industrial hempseed oil is used in lubricants, paints, inks, fuel, and plastics. Hempseed oil is used in the production of soaps, shampoos and detergents. Due to the fact that about 49% of the weight of hempseed is an edible oil that contains 76% essential fatty acids, it may also be used as a feedstock for the large-scale production of biodiesel.
